Prolific children's author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A representative for the company commented: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."

The company did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works altogether, including a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
From Screen to Page
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago for his services to charity and the arts.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
