The City of Angels witnessed widespread celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Supporters across the globe united with local residents in celebration, marking the first time in 25 years that a franchise has secured consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Draws Massive Turnout
Local celebrations featured a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Social media videos show thousands of Angelenos packing downtown streets, many carrying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The squad was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the championship trophy high.
“I’m already thinking about the third time we’re going to do this,” the star player stated through an interpreter.
The procession path ended at the stadium, where the team emerged to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ spinning music and the artist driving a light blue classic car around the field.

The World Series served as a positive moment in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An estimated 225,000 people attended to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to team member Freddie Freeman, supporters this year showed equal or greater support.
“I feel like it’s nearly twice from last year,” he remarked. “These fans are crazy. It’s so awesome to be a involved in this.”
