Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window
An aircraft transporting Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the jet's front window, according to an official announcement which stated that all passengers were secure.
"The jet touched down based on standard procedures and everyone onboard, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative said in a social media post.
Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the city of Brussels at the time.
This incident does not mark the initial instance that a US military aircraft transporting a high-ranking official has suffered equipment failures.
Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was forced to return to Washington DC after suffering a technical issue.
